Located in Ville-Marie, Témiscamingue, the company specializes in the production of fine chocolate and pastries. Its main economic driver is chocolate processing. In part from its store sales, but also from the many retailers and the wide distribution of its products in supermarkets (chocolate bars, port and dessert cups).
Les Chocolats Martine is also a retail store renowned for its personalized offers and services. Its boutique is an attraction for customers where you can buy ranges of coffee, cheeses from Quebec and elsewhere, specialty foods and several gift ideas. Regional and local products hold a place of choice. Each holidays and observances are significantly highlighted by chocolate products all year long.
Suites
In 2018, a third floor with view on the lake was added to the building. As a result of these major improvements, Les Suites de la chocolaterie offer high quality rooms for short term and vacation rentals.
Owner
Témiscamingue native Line Descoteaux has been in business for 20 years. She is committed to the development of the region and is known for her passion of regional products. Head of Les Chocolats Martine, she is also the co-founder of Chez Eugène restaurant and inn as well as the Foire Gourmande de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue et du Nord-Est Ontarien. In January 2017, she took over the presidency of the Foire Gourmande on a voluntary basis. Descoteaux hopes that one day, Abitibi-Témiscamingue will have its flavour trail and the region becomes a reference in terroir products.
